The Spectrum Laser is a state-of-the-art, multi-platform device. It has Erbium laser, 810-Diode for hair removal, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and Q-Switch for tattoo removal. The Erbium Laser housed in the Spectrum Laser system is not as aggressive as CO2 resurfacing or the Fraxel. It is perfect for more superficial lines, wrinkles and surface or texture irregularities such as large pores or pigment.
Additionally, the Spectrum Laser 810-Diode can remove hair by destroying the follicle that grows the hair. Laser light is attracted to the dark pigment in hair and zeros in on the hair follicle. Laser hair removal works best on black or brown colored hair; blonde or gray hair will not attract the laser light.
A Q-switch laser (part of the Spectrum Laser System) is the most frequently used laser for tattoo removal. The laser “fractures” the pigment into particles small enough for the ink to be removed using the body’s natural filtering system. The Spectrum’s Q-switch 1064nm/532nm laser can safely and effectively remove an array of tattoo ink colors with minimal risk. Multiple treatments will be required, eight weeks apart.
