Oftentimes patients choose to travel to other cities to receive their cosmetic surgery in order to receive the very best care and to be able to undergo their procedures anonymously. We are pleased to assist patients who would like to come to us for treatment.
What to do
If you live more than a 3-4 hr drive one way, and would like to discuss having your cosmetic surgery with us, please feel free to give us a call at 800-949-4448. The receptionist will be happy to refer your call to a clinical staff member who can assist you with a “pre-consultation” over the telephone. We will need you to email photographs to us to an email address that will be provided to you, as well. Please keep in mind that patient safety is our most important concern. Not all patients will be pre-qualified for “long distance” consultations, depending upon your health status and the extent of the surgery you are contemplating. If we cannot pre-qualify you, an in person consultation will be necessary prior to scheduling your surgery. Once your information has been obtained, reviewed and approved by the physician, the nurse will work with you to get any needed pre-op lab work accomplished through a physician or lab where you live, and she will work with you on any additional issues that need to be completed prior to your arrival.
You will be seen in consultation with the physician the day before your surgery. You will need to bring a friend or family member who can stay with you for the duration of your stay in Huntsville. We are happy to make arrangements for you at a local hotel that is approximately one block away from our office. You will be able to stay there until you are ready to travel home. Please keep in mind that if you are planning extensive surgery, such as a face lift or full abdominal surgery your stay will need to be somewhat extended. Many people who come to us from out of town have friends or family in town where they can stay for the necessary duration. Once you have completed your immediate post op period and have returned home, you will need to make the return trip for recheck appointments at 6 weeks, and 3 months, in most cases.
